A young couple ponders the sentience of their dinner in the short comedy Lobster. With their guests just minutes away, Bo and Raquel turn to an unusual friend to determine the fate of their captive crustacean.

LOBSTER won Best Comedy at the 2012 NM Filmmakers Showcase and is a winner of the Women in Film and Television International Showcase. The film also screened at the Taos Shortz, Santa Fe and Albuquerque Film Festivals. Lobster is a 3 minute deadpan comedy starring Chad Brummett and Emelie O’Hara.

As all of her films have a philanthropy component, filmmaker Jocelyn Jansons and her crew trained local teenagers to work on a film set. Jocelyn also hopes that Lobster’s humorous message will help us look at our connection to the food we eat.
