A rare interview of Louise Hay — a pioneer of the personal growth movement. Fittingly, we ended last year with the first-ever film on Hay's life and work, You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie (Volume 12 2008).
First published in 1984, Hay’s revolutionary book You Can Heal Your Life has sold over 35 million copies worldwide, and introduced millions to the power of the mind/body connection.
"It really all boils down to choosing the thoughts you think and choosing the foods you eat. When you can be wise in both areas, you have perfect health because the body knows how to take care of itself. But not if you give it a lot of junk [food] and... a lot of junk thoughts," says Hay, who also founded Hay House, a successful publishing company whose authors include Dr. Wayne Dyer, Joan Borysenko and Dr. Christiane Northrup.
In our exclusive Louise Hay video interview conducted by Mariel Hemingway, Hay also explains the role of forgiveness and healing, and shares with us how she learned about the power of forgiveness firsthand.
